RBA’s Lowe: Hopeful we can navigate the narrow path to a soft landing

Responding to the Q& at the Anika Foundation Fundraiser, the Reserve Bank of Australia (RBA) Governor Philip Lowe stated that he is hopeful that they can navigate the slender route to a gentle landing.

Demand has to develop extra slowly to carry again in line with supply.

There is a big demand thing to greater inflation, now not simply supply.

Very conscious there are lags in financial policy.

A very viable wage increase no longer selects up a whole lot further.

Quantitative tightening is now not on our agenda.

Has no plans to resign.

Market reaction
In an instantaneous response to the above comments, AUD/USD is trying out everyday lows near 0.6715, dropping 0.72% on the day.
